Matt McCollum
Matthew McCollum entered the building trades at the early age of 17. He worked his way up thru the ranks, mastering the processes of residential and commercial construction. The Residential homes Matt worked on were in the popular Catamount community as a subcontractor for Mountain Ridge Development.
He paid his way through college and studied engineering while working part-time in the commercial construction industry. The projects he worked on were Don Pablo’s restaurant 28th street and the Thornapple Evangelical Church on Cascade road. Later, he became a die designer for the tool and die industry, working with engineers from GM, Ford, and the local furniture industries at Datum Industries.
Matt started Forest Hills Construction in 2001; with a focus on Residential homes. In 2004 Forest Hills Homes LLC was set up to handle the demand for new home construction. Since then he has built several custom homes on spec; including an executive 5,900 sq. ft. home in Manchester Hills.
